La Roux shares cathartic breakup song "Automatic Driver"
La Roux has released new breakup song "Automatic Driver", the third single from her forthcoming album Supervision.
"Automatic Driver" arrives after previous singles "Gullible Fool" and "International Woman Of Leisure".
La Roux, aka Elly Jackson, says of the new offering, ""Automatic Driver" is about finding out who in a relationship is on autopilot. In our case, it turns out it was both of us. I was surprised, even while I was first singing it, by what was coming out of my mouth."
Supervision is La Roux's third album, and first since 2014's Trouble In Paradise.
Jackson wrote, produced, and played the whole of Supervision from her kitchen in Brixton before taking it to Dan Carey to finish the album.
Although she hasn't released new music in five years, Jackson did contribute additional vocals to Tyler, The Creator's latest album IGOR, and featured on White Horses' "Mister Natural" last month.
