Kraftwerk to headline T in the Park festival 2013
T in the Park festival have announced that electronic pioneers Kraftwerk will headline this year’s event.
The Scottish fest, which runs from 12-14 July, have revealed today that the German band are set to celebrate the weekender’s 20th anniversary.
Organisers said of the coup:
“Kraftwerk are a truly seminal band. Their revolutionary sound altered the face of contemporary music, and paved the way for so many artists across so many musical genres. They are a massively influential group and an incredible live act, and we are hugely excited to welcome Kraftwerk to T in the Park for the first time this July, in what will be a very special moment in our 20th year celebrations.”
Other bands confirmed include Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers.
