King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard share hazy blues track "Boogieman Sam"
Aussie seven-piece King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have shared psychedelic blues track, "Boogieman Sam".
"Boogieman Sam" is the third single to be shared from their upcoming Fishing For Fishies record, after "Fishing For Fishies" that dropped earlier this month, and January's "Cyboogie".
Fishing For Fishies is the group's first album since their five records that landed in 2017, including Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Sketches Of Brunswick East, Polygondwanaland, and Gumboot Soup.
On their 14th studio album, 14th album, frontman Stu Mackenzie says, "We tried to make a blues record. A blues-boogie-shuffle-kinda-thing, but the songs kept fighting it - or maybe it was us fighting them. Ultimately though we let the songs guide us this time; we let them have their own personalities and forge their own path. Paths of light, paths of darkness. This is a collection of songs that went on wild journeys of transformation."
