King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard announce new bootleg project
Australia's King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have launched a new bootleg project where they're asking people to repackage and release the band's music however they wish.
The band have been releasing music relentlessly over the past few years, with nine of their albums having arrived since 2015.
Now King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have launched a new bootleg project that sees them give indie labels, fans, bootleggers and more the chance to repackage the band's music into new releases.
The band have shared audio master files and cover art for nine albums, including 2010/2011 rarities album Teenage Gizzard, two demo albums, five live albums and 2017's Polygondwanaland.
Expanding on the project via their site, the band wrote, "Only deal is you’ve gotta send us some of them to sell on GIZZVERSE.COM - whatever you feel is a fair trade is cool with us. Ideas: double LPs, 7”, remix, reimagined cover art, bizarre looking wax, live show box sets, tapes. Or keep it simple - that’s totally ok. Anyone keen?!"
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's new bootleg project arrives after the band's December single "If Not Now, Then When?".
