
Kendrick Lamar closes Glastonbury 2022 with women's rights statement during "Savior"
Last night (26 June) Kendrick Lamar headlined the closing night of Glastonbury 2022, and ended his set with a powerful statement during "Savior" about women's rights.
During Lamar's headline appearance at Glastonbury Festival 2022 last night, he performed a career-spanning set featuring songs from his most recent album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, as well as hits including "Swimming Pools (Drank)", "Money Trees", "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe", "King Kunta", "Alright", "DNA." and more, and closed his performance with DAMN. tracks "HUMBLE." and "LOVE.", as well as his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers song "Savior".
During the final moments of "Savior", Lamar referenced the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the Roe v. Wade ruling last week by repeating "They judge you, they judge Christ / Godspeed for women's rights" before dropping his microphone and leaving the stage.
