Kate Tempest performed mesmerising material from latest album on the Woods Stage at End Of The Road.
The spoken word artist gave a sobering performance on the Wood Stage, beginning with her infectious back catalogue and entering into tracks from The Book of Traps and Lessons.
“End of The Road, I like your energy tonight,” she declared to an audience enraptured. Upon taking a bow, she left the stage arm in arm with keyboardist Clare Uchima, returning shortly afterwards - but not for an encore. “I hate it when people leave the stage and return for an encore”, she confessed. “It’s a convention we have that I don’t understand, but I didn’t want you to leave this show disappointed. Thank you for letting me share in your weekend, I thank you all.”
