Kanye West has deactivated his social media accounts again
Kanye West has deleted his Twitter and Instagram following a turbulent fortnight of interviews and controversial behaviour.
On Saturday (6 October) Kanye West's official Twitter and Instagram pages were wiped from the internet.
The Chicago rapper had only returned to Twitter earlier this year in April after going a year without it.
Over the past fortnight "Ye" has made some interesting statements, including his now-deleted Instagram post of his "Make America Great Again" hat, where he stated he wanted to "abolish the 13th amendment", which led to Lana Del Rey stating the rapper's support for Donald Trump is "a loss for the culture".
Since then he discussed in a bizarre interview with TMZ that he used to wrong language, and was meant to use the word "amend". In the same interview he reveals his Yandhi album has been pushed back to 23 November, with plans to finish the record in Africa, where Kanye West wants to, "grab the soil" and "eat five meals a day so the metabolism stays up".
In the same interview the host Harvey Levin joked about the rapper removing his MAGA hat, to which West took offence, and replied with "I am American, and I support and give my ideas and support and brilliance to whoever ends up in office," he added, "y’all can’t bully me." You can watch the full interview over on The Daily Wire. The MAGA hat discussion is at the 30-minute mark.
Kanye West has been wearing his "MAGA" hat nearly every day, including last weekend's SNL performance. Rolling Stone reported that he decided to give the audience a lecture off camera about President Trump, West's own Presidential plans, and how he has been harrassed for wearing the "MAGA" hat.
The rapper had previously made an appearance at The Fader offices, where he was supposed to be playing songs from his forthcoming Yandhi album, and ended up endorsing the likes of 6ix9ine, XXXTentacion, Louis C.K. and more.
