Kanye West gives rare interview in response to being named 7th best rapper in the world
Always one to blow his own trumpet and label things the “best of ALL TIME”, it’s no surprise that Kanye West had something to say when placed only number 7 in MTV’s list of the greatest rappers in the world.
Yeezy, who recently compared himself to Picasso, Michelangelo and Basquiat, spoke to Hot 97′s DJ Enuff about the list.
West said:
“Lil Wayne is the #1 rapper in the world… Him and Jay and Em are the greatest rappers of all time. I feel like in order for them to put me at #7, they had to bring up things they didn’t like — like the Cruel Summer album.”
Kanye, who’s been involved in many onstage rants lately, went on to address critics to his currently living situation, saying:
“They don’t like Givenchy Kanye, they don’t like Kanye in a kilt, they don’t like Kanye in a relationship.”
