Jordan Rakei shares seductive, summery offering "Wildfire"
25 year old Jordan Rakei revealed new track "Wildfire" in a session for Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music.
Oozing with seductive, summery soundscapes, Jordan Rakei combines sultry piano melodies with a layered electronic beat to create a track that feels as if you're in hot pursuit of the summer sun.
Using harmonious vocals, Rakei achieves a beautifully soft tone, that moves majestically to a peak that brings all his components to a golden beacon of summer sounds.
"Wildfire’ is about dealing with a broken friendship. It explores how necessary it is to allow yourself to move on after you've been hurt and how holding a grudge affects your wellbeing,” explains Jordan. “I often write about the concept of overthinking but this track deals more with acceptance for the sake of peace of mind.”
