Jordan Rakei previews new album with third single "Clouds"
Jordan Rakei has unveiled new track "Clouds" as the third taster of his forthcoming album What We Call Life.
"Clouds" is the third taster of What We Call Life, following earlier outings "Send My Love" and "Family", and is inspired by the recent global movements about race and discrimination.
Rakei explains, "That whole movement made me think about this a lot, and then therapy enabled me to write about it. I’d never been that open about this in the past."
What We Call Life will follow Rakei's 2019 album Origin.
"As we worked through it, it made me realise I would love to talk about the different lessons I learned from therapy in my music," Rakei explains of the album. "About my early childhood, my relationship with my parents and siblings, becoming independent in London, being in a new marriage, understanding how my marriage compares to the relationship my parents had."
