Johnny Marr releases new track "Spirit, Power And Soul" from upcoming double album
Johnny Mar is back with new single "Spirit, Power And Soul", which is the first taster of his upcoming double album Fever Dreams Pts 1-4.
"Spirit, Power And Soul" is Marr's first new single since appearing on The Avalanches' "The Divine Chord" track last year, and also lands as a first glimpse of his forthcoming double album that's yet to get a release date.
Marr says of the new outing, ""Spirit, Power And Soul" is a kind of mission statement. I had an idea about an electro sound with gospel feeling, in my own words… an electro soul anthem."
The track will appear on Fever Dreams Pts 1-4, which will follow Marr's 2018 album Call the Comet. While the full double album hasn't got a release date yet, Marr will release the four-track Fever Dreams Pt 1 EP in October.
