Janelle Monáe announces Dirty Computer and accompanying "emotion picture"
Janelle Monáe is back with details of new record Dirty Computer, her first release since landmark 2013 LP Electric Lady.
The album is actually just one part of Dirty Computer, which is described as an "emotion picture... a narrative film and accompanying musical album." Monáe has shared a trailer (also starring Tessa Thompson) previewing both elements, and you can check it out below.
Dirty Computer doesn't have a release date yet, but a proper trailer is due to air "in select theatres" ahead of Black Panther screenings.
This is set to be the first new material from Monáe since her EP Wondaland Presents: The Eephus which featured a bunch of artists signed to her label - including Jidenna and St. Beauty.
