
It was all too good to be true - Elastica aren't reforming
So it looks like Elastica aren't getting back together after all - the project they're in the studio for is... a "vinyl reissue".
Yesterday it emerged that Sean Magee, Mastering Engineer at Abbey Road Studios, had "cut a record" for the band - their most recent LP (The Menace) was released almost 17 years ago in 2000. Elastica split not long after in 2001.
Obviously people got very excited about the prospect of the band returning, despite all the signs pointing to a reissue as opposed to full-on reunion.
Today Magee set the record straight.
