Indulge in Christmas tenderness with Aidan Moffat & RM Hubbert's "A Ghost Story for Christmas"
Aidan Moffat & RM Hubbert return with another festive number "A Ghost Story for Christmas".
"A Ghost Story for Christmas" is the crux of Aidan Moffat & RM Hubbert's new Christmas record.
Last month the duo returned with their first offering, a festive-tinged take on Yazoo's "Only You".
The new offering ingests snippets of their favourite Christmas tunes to create a cosy lullaby that'll leave the smell of pine needles in your nose.
On the new tune, Moffatt says, "I had some words that I felt would suit a piano backing, so I challenged Hubby to write something for piano and he spent two weeks on YouTube learning to play it."
After putting the new festive tune together, Moffat explains, “Then, on a nice, sunny, summer morning, I phoned Hubby and suggested we just do a whole album. We were really enjoying it – there’s something pleasantly perverse about recording Christmas songs in summer clothes – so we just kept going."
Ghost Stories For Christmas is their first project since their Here Lies the Body record that landed back in May.
