Roddy Woomble of Idlewild has announced a new solo EP Everyday Sun, as well as unveiling the title-track as the lead single.
"Everyday Sun" is the opening track from Woomble's six-track EP, and marks his first single since Idlewild's 2019 album Interview Music.
The new single was written with Idlewild's Andrew Mitchell. Woomble says of working with Mitchell, "I greatly enjoyed both of Andrew's instrumental solo albums (under his Andrew Wasylyk moniker), and really liked the idea of trying to read some of my words over his compositions. It was interesting just to have an electronic drumbeat to base my words around."
Tracklist:
- Everyday Sun
- Context Of Midnight
- Straight To Blame
- Secret For The Last Time
- One Minute Out Of The World
- Roddy Woomble & Oliver Coates - "RW OC Cuttup"
"Everyday Sun" is out now. Roddy Woomble's Everyday Sun EP is due for release on 27 March, and is available to pre-order now. He plays London's Moth Club on 6 May. Find out more.
