The 225-page book will relive the band's journey so far, starting with their formation in Edinburgh back in 1995.
Woomble's 50,000 words in the book will also discuss the band's creative process, lineup changes, their hiatus and return, and more, accompanied by photographs from Idlewild's archives over the years.
The book will feature a foreword penned by novelist Benjamin Myers, and those that pre-order the book will have instant access to a new track titled "Losing Confusion".
