HONNE have put an unreleased album track in a "digital safe" that will stay locked for 100 years
HONNE have announced a unique digital time capsule that features an unreleased song in a "digital safe" from their recent LET'S JUST SAY THE WORLD ENDED A WEEK FROM NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? album, which will stay locked for 100 years.
Last month HONNE released their LET'S JUST SAY THE WORLD ENDED A WEEK FROM NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? album, featuring collaborations with Griff, Khalid, NIKi, Pink Sweat$ and more, and today (2 November) they've revealed that they have a one-of-a-kind digital capsule.
The unique capsule, which is a website built to resemble a basic Mac desktop, includes an unreleased track from their recent album in a "digital safe", and will only be visible as a filename titled "Honne_End_Of_The_World.WAV" for the next 100 years.
HONNE's unreleased track will stay locked until 22 October 2121, exactly 100 years on from the release of their LET'S JUST SAY THE WORLD ENDED A WEEK FROM NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? album.
The duo have also written a note to accompany the capsule, "Back in 2021, we - HONNE - released an album (a collection of songs) entitled LET'S JUST SAY THE WORLD ENDED A WEEK FROM NOW, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? and decided to lock one unreleased song from this album in a digital safe. The safe opens 22.10.2121. On this website. If websites even exist then. We hope a future generation finds this and cherishes it, long after we're gone. We love you guys. Thank you for the life you gave us."
