Chicago home of Wilco's Jeff Tweedy shot "seven to 10" times while family slept
The Chicago home of Wilco's Jeff Tweedy was shot at "seven to 10" times while the family was sleeping.
Jeff Tweedy's wife, Susan Miller Tweedy, posted about the incident on Facebook, revealing that the family were woken around 2am on Tuesday (26 November) by the sounds of gunshots outside their home in Chicago.
She wrote, "There were seven to 10 shots fired at what sounded like right at our house ... A bullet went through the storm door to our balcony and lodged in the wooden door."
The Wilco frontman's wife added, "In the light of day today, Jeff found seven shell casings outside."
According to The Guardian, Tweedy's son Spencer told a local radio station that he does not believe their house was deliberately targeted.
No injuries were reported in the area at the time of the incident. The Chicago Sun-Times reveals there were several reports of gunfire heard in the Irving Park neighborhood around the same time as the shooting at Tweedy's house.
