Hinds finish recording their debut album today
Madrid quartet Hinds have announced that they are wrapping up recording on their much-antipated debut LP today (20 April).
The band have built up a steady buzz over the past year or so with a slew of singles and shorter releases, but they've confirmed on Facebook that they are - provided no technical SNAFUs occur, of course - coming to the end of an eight-day recording session.
Diego García, a member of Hinds' good friends The Parrots, is producing the as-yet-untitled record.
The band recently celebrated Record Store Day with a 7" split with García & Co., with Hinds covering Thee Headcoats' 1992 single "Davey Crockett" (produced by The Vaccines' Árni Árnason), and The Parrots tackling "All My Loving" by The Almighty Defenders. You can watch an exclusive live session performance of Hinds reeling off "Davey Crockett" here.
Hinds debut long-player is expected in the near future, but no official statement has been released about a specific date.
Hinds are set to spent the next few months touring the UK and Europe, with plenty of headline shows and festival slots on the horizon, including a stint opening for The Strokes at Hyde Park.
