
Happy Mondays bassist Paul Ryder dies aged 58
Happy Mondays have shared a statement announcing the passing of their bassist Paul Ryder, who died this morning (15 July) aged 58.
In a statement shared on social media this afternoon (15 July), Happy Mondays wrote, "The Ryder family and Happy Mondays band members are deeply saddened and shocked to say that Paul Ryder passed away this morning A true pioneer and legend. He will be forever missed."

Paul Ryder was a founding member of Happy Mondays alongside his brother Shaun Ryder, drummer Gary Whelan, keyboardist Paul Davis and guitarist and Mark Day.
