Halsey's label announces release date for "So Good" following claims about TikTok demands
Halsey and Capitol Records have confirmed the release date for "So Good" after Halsey claimed the label wouldn't release it unless they "fake a viral moment on TikTok".
Last month Halsey shared a TikTok claiming that their new song was being held up by Capitol Records until they "fake a viral moment" on the platform. The TikTok ended up going viral, and yesterday (31 May) the label announced that Halsey's new song "So Good" will be arriving next week, and also shared a statement about how they approach their artists.
"We are an artist first company that encourages open dialogue," Capitol Records' statement read. "We have nothing but a desire to help each one of our artists succeed, and hope that we can continue to have these critical conversations."
Capitol Records added on Twitter, "Halsey, we love you and are here to support you. We are committing to a release of "So Good" on June 9th, 2022."
