Glass Animals cancel Mad Cool and NOS Alive performances to rest vocal cords
Glass Animals have shared a statement this afternoon cancelling their upcoming appearances at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid and NOS Alive in Portugal this week so lead vocalist Dave Bayley can rest his vocal cords.
Glass Animals were due to perform at Madrid's Mad Cool Festival tomorrow (6 July) and at Portugal's NOS Alive on Thursday (7 July), but in a statement shared on socials this afternoon, lead vocalist Dave Bayley revealed his "vocal cords have had it."
"I took steroids to bring down the swelling the last two shows but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore and I've been recommended to take a few days to rest them so it doesn't turn into something worse," he added. "We were so looking forward to these shows but we'll be back asap. I'm so sorry again."

As well as needing to take some rest, Glass Animals have been trying to get back "irreplaceable" music equipment that was lost by British Airways over the past few weeks.
