Gilla Band (fka Girl Band) announce new album with lead single "Eight Fivers"
Gilla Band, formerly Girl Band, are back with news of their upcoming third album Most Normal, and have unveiled the lead outing "Eight Fivers".
"Eight Fivers" is the group's first new material since updating their name to Gilla Band in November last year, and is teamed with a video directed and animated by Mortis Studio.
Lead singer Dara Kiely said, ""Eight Fivers" is about 40 quid. It's about being out of touch with modern circumstances while feeling socially limited. Never fitting in and kind of proud of it. Stuck with what I have and happy for it. Being grateful and not fashionable, self-conscious and too aware of what is lacking. Accepting that jealousy played a big role in my life but trying not to feed into it."
The new song will appear on Gilla Band's Most Normal album, which will be the group's third album and first as Gilla Band. It'll follow 2019's The Talkies.
