Gently Tender unveil new track "Sunlight In Motion"
Gently Tender have released new song "Sunlight In Motion" as the third taster of their Matthew E. White-produced debut album Take Hold Of Your Promise!.
"Sunlight In Motion" is, according to lead vocalist Sam Fryer, "about self-reflection." He continues, ""Sunlight catch a grip to your motion" - I’m talking about when you are suddenly caught in a moment and you feel able to reflect on your life, and feel nostalgic for it, Like a DeJaVu that puts your life in perspective."
"That perspective shift and reflection - being able to observe from the outside," Fryer says. "It’s also about how you’re going to move forward. Reflecting on yourself like an outer body experience - taking the emotion out and being able to observe and evolve as a person."
He adds, "It’s also about celebrating yourself and putting difficulties into context and learning from them as experiences. Putting things like being kind to yourself into practice. This is why we are called Gently Tender. Gently Tender is a mantra and reminder of how to treat yourself with kindness, love and compassion."
The band's debut album Take Hold Of Your Promise! will include previous singles "Love All The Population" and "Dead is Dead".
Take Hold Of Your Promise! has been in the works for five years, and is produced by Matthew E. White, who flew over to work with the group in lockdown at Wales’ Rockfield Studios.
