Frightened Rabbit are playing secret shows as Footshooters next week
Frightened Rabbit are playing a pair of shows as Footshooters as they gear up to release LP5 Painting Of A Panic Attack.
Although not officially confirmed by the band, it's highly unlikely to be anyone else - one of Frightened Rabbit's best known songs is called "Footshooter", which they conspicuously Tweeted yesterday - and a description on myticket.co.uk reads: "You are currently reading about Footshooters. They are a band who live somewhere and have done for a while. They record in old churches, Brooklyn garages and some guy called Andy's house. Let’s keep alternative music alive by getting it out of that waterproof and into a pair of Birkenstocks."
'Footshooters' will play Glasgow's Art School on 8 March, and London's Boston Music Room on 10 March. Tickets are on sale now.
The upcoming record is produced by Aaron Dessner of The National, and in our interview last summer, the band's Scott Hutchison promised some very interesting new ideas and directions.
Painting Of A Panic Attack is out 8 April on Atlantic. Latest single "Get Out" was revealed this week.
Frightened Rabbit are embarking on a brief April tour, stopping at Dunfermline, London, and Manchester, with all but the Manchester date now sold out.
