Foo Fighters cancel 2022 Grammys performance after Taylor Hawkins' death
Foo Fighters will no longer perform at this weekend's Grammy Awards after the death of their drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Earlier this week Foo Fighters cancelled all their upcoming tour dates after their drummer Taylor Hawkins had died aged 50 while in Colombia the previous week.
Rolling Stone has since reported that the band's performance at this weekend's Grammy Awards will no longer take place.
Foo Fighters are up for three Grammys this year, including Best Rock Performance for "Making a Fire", Best Rock Song for "Waiting on a War", and Best Rock Album for Medicine at Midnight.
"It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins," Foo Fighters wrote in a statement earlier this week. "We're sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won't be seeing one another as planned."
Foo Fighters added, "Instead, let's take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we've made together."
