
Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders and London Symphony Orchestra detail collaborative album Promises
Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra have shared more details of their forthcoming collaborative album Promises, which is due for release later this month.
After announcing Promises with a brief trailer for the album last month, the collaborators have returned with more details of the album, which will mark Sanders' first new material in over a decade.
The album was recorded by Floating Points and Sanders in LA, while the London Symphony Orchestra recorded their contributions at Air Studios in London.
Promises, which features artwork by acclaimed artist Julie Mehretu, is dedicated to Tomaga's Tom Relleen, who was also the co-founder of Phonica Records and died aged 42 last August.
Today (16 March) the collaborators have shared "Promises: Prologue", a new four-and-a-half-minute video that includes the full album credits.
On top of sharinng "Promises: Prologue", a non-visual experience called Promises: Chapter I has been announced, which takes place on 21 March from 6pm GMT. Find out more.
