Finn Wolfhard shares debut track from new band The Aubreys "Getting Better (Otherwise)"
Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has debuted the first track from his new band The Aubreys, "Getting Better (Otherwise)", which features on The Turning film soundtrack.
"Getting Better (Otherwise)" is the first track Wolfhard has featured on since announcing the split of his band Calpurnia in November 2019. The Stranger Things actor also stars in the upcoming film.
Soundtrack producer Lawrence Rothman says of the new song, "Finn’s character in the film (Miles) is a real musical kid and retreats to his bedroom a lot to dispense his grief and confusion into music and we wanted that represented on the soundtrack.. Finn and his bandmate Malcom came to my studio and we had a chaotic eight hour session where it all came together fast. Jay Reatard 90’s band The Reatards we blasted in the studio during our session breaks, and a bit of that influence came into the recording of the song."
"Getting Better (Otherwise)" arrives after previous singles from the soundtrack, including Pale Waves and Lawrence Rothman's "SkinDeepSkyHighHeartWide", Soccer Mommy's "Feed", and Courtney Love's "Mother".
The sountrack will also feature tracks by Warpaint, Empress Of, Vagabon, Cherry Glazerr, Mitski, Kali Uchis, Alice Glass, girl in red, Kim Gordon, and more.
