Ezra Furman reveals visuals for his "declaration of freedom", "Body Was Made"
Ezra Furman has revealed his clip for latest single "Body Was Made" ahead of next month's UK shows.
The track features on Furman's latest LP, Perpetual Motion People. Its video features a surreal talent show with members of Peggy Sue and Landshapes forming Furman's foes.
Anika Mottershaw, the vid's director, says: "We wanted the video to feel goofy and fun. It was fun making it with our friends, and we hope that comes across.”
Furman adds: "'Body Was Made' is a protest song against the people and forces that would make me ashamed of my body, my gender and my sexuality. It's a declaration of freedom from false authority and self-appointed social police who have given me grief all my life.”
Perpetual Motion People is out now via Bella Union.
