Ed Sheeran unveils a capella version of "Afterglow"
To mark one year since the release of last year's Christmas release "Afterglow", Ed Sheeran has dropped an a capella version of the song recorded in a church.
"Afterglow" was originally released in the build-up to Christmas 2020 as a standalone single, and following the release of his Christmas collaborative single with Elton John "Merry Christmas", Sheeran has marked the one-year anniversary of "Afterglow" with an a capella version of the song.
Sheeran's a capella version of the track was recorded in a church, and featured harmonies from a group of backing vocalists.
Last week, Sheeran (and "Merry Christmas" collaborator and friend Elton John) featured on LadBaby's fourth Christmas charity single "Sausage Rolls For Everyone".
