DZ Deathrays air new song "Shred For Summer", a monument to their love of playing guitar
DZ Deathrays shine some light into these miserable days with fevered new single "Shred For Summer".
The Aussie outfit released second LP Black Rat in 2014, but they've shared plenty of music in the years since its release. This riff-heavy cut follows last autumn's "Pollyanna".
"For a long time I've wanted to write a song that is just about my love of playing guitar, this is the closest thing we have made to that," says guitarist/vocalist Shane Parsons. "We were influenced by artists such as Zeppelin, Oasis, and Future Of The Left. It has a few guitar clichés thrown in there for good measure and I think this will become a favourite of ours to play live."
DZ Deathrays hop over to this hemisphere next month, with shows at London's Camden Assembly and Brighton's Hope And Ruin confirmed. Find out the band's full European tour plans.
