Dua Lipa shares statement on fireworks being set off in the crowd at Toronto show
Dua Lipa has shared a statement on Instagram after finding out about some unauthorised fireworks being set off in the crowd at her Toronto show on Wednesday (27 July).
On Wednesday (27 July) night Dua Lipa played Toronto's Scotiabank Arena, and towards the end of her set, some people set off some unnauthorised fireworks on the floor, which reportedly resulted in three people receiving medical attention for minor injuries.
Videos of the fireworks also made the rounds online, and Dua Lipa responded to the incident last night (28 July) via her Instagram Story, writing, "Last night, unauthorised fireworks went off in the crowd during my set in Toronto. Creating a safe and inclusive space at my shows is always my first priority, and my team and I are just as shocked and confused by the events as you all are."
"There is an ongoing investigation into the events being conducted, and everyone involved is working hard to find out how this incident occurred," Dua Lipa added. "Bringing this show to life for my fans has been such an amazing experience, and I’m so deeply sorry for anyone who was scared, felt unsafe, or whose enjoyment of the show was affected in any way. All my love, Dua."
