Dry Cleaning unveil new single "Anna Calls From The Arctic"
Dry Cleaning have shared new single "Anna Calls From The Arctic", the opening track from their forthcoming second album Stumpwork.
Following last month's announcement of Stumpwork with the lead outing "Don’t Press Me", Dry Cleaning have unveiled a second cut from the record titled "Anna Calls From The Arctic", which lands with a self-directed visualiser.
The band say of the new track, "The lyrics were partly inspired by phone calls with a friend who was living and working in the Arctic. The song developed from a keyboard, bass and clarinet jam. This then took shape during our pre-recording sessions with John Parish and Joe Jones in Bristol and finalized at Rockfield studios a month later, with some musical inspiration coming from the dramatic scores of John Barry. The song is observational and sensual."
Stumpwork will follow Dry Cleaning's 2021 debut album New Long Leg, and was recorded in rural Wales in late 2021 with producer John Parish and engineer Joe Jones.
