Ahead of Apple launching their TV streaming service, CEO Tim Cook has forced the flagship show created by Dr. Dre to be cancelled after being distressed by certain scenes.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the six-part series was cancelled by Cook for being "too violent", as the show features drugs, sex and guns.

The WSJ also reveals that Cook told Dr. Dre's friend, and executive producer Jimmy Iovine, that Apple couldn’t distribute the series.

It appears that Apple are trying to avoid any controversial material. The Telgraph reports that Apple have already set up deals with Sesame Street, Oprah Winfrey and more.

Sam Rockwell, Michael K. Williams, and Ian McShane were due to play different traits of Dr. Dre's personality in Vital Signs.

The news of Dr. Dre's forthcoming show leaked nearly two years ago. They may now be forced to find another streaming service to use.
