Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3 appear on 10th anniversary remix of Rebecca Black's "Friday"
To mark the 10-year anniversary of her viral hit "Friday", Rebecca Black has unveiled a new hyperpop remix featuring Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3.
"Friday" was originally released on 10 February 2011, and today (10 February), exactly a decade later than the original, Black has unveiled a new remix.
The remix is produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, and features contributions from Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3.
Black's new "Friday" remix is her second release of 2021, following last month's "Girlfriend" single.
According to Billboard, Black said of the remix, "I’d had the idea to do this remix of "Friday" for years leading up to now, but honestly it was also mildly insane for me to think anyone else would want to be a part of it. As I started talking about it with other artists and producers, I couldn’t believe how stoked people were about it. I am thrilled to have some of my favorite artists (and people) as a part of this moment."
The new remix also lands shortly after Black's original version was certified gold in the US.
