Donald Trump hits the jackpot with his inauguration performers
President-elect Donald Trump has struck gold with the lineup for his historic inauguration bash - and new pal Kanye West isn't on it.
The "toast to American culture" promises "a stellar list of special guests, plus multiple areas of entertainment and attractions, which represent the diversity, energy and promise of America.”
It's dubbed the 'All-American Ball', and will cost at least $350 to attend. With prices like that, you just know you're getting something special - and boy, does he make sure it's that.
Trump's party planners have secured the best that America has to offer - such as the one and only Beau Davidson, The Mixx - the "Mid-Atlantic’s hottest Party Band!” - and The Reagan Years, a collective that only cover tracks released while Ronald Reagan was President. DJs Romin, Young Rye, Flow ,and Freedom are also set to make sure that this is one massive ball!
It was previously reported that Trump managed to book the 16-year-old "classical crossover" artist Jackie Evancho. The America's Got Talent runner up - from 2010 no less - will be performing the national anthem for the incoming President, but a rumoured duet with Andrea Bocelli has fallen through. A performance from Celine Dion is also not happening.
According to US news site The Wrap, Trump's party planning committee dangled ambassadorships and government posts for talent bookers that could score top names for the ceremony - and it looks like they got those top names!
In contrast to Trump's star-studded affair, Barack Obama only managed to get the likes of Aretha Franklin and Beyoncé.
