Did Prince cancel ticket sales as a protest against secondary ticket sellers?
This morning Prince halted the sale of tickets to his upcoming UK dates with little warning and no reason.
Tickets for Prince's six UK shows were due to be on sale at 10am this morning on Ticketmaster, but less than an hour before fans were told that the sale had been postponed.
Fans were understandably pissed. But that's not the whole story, as his Twitter account soon made clear.
Apparently there are gripes with Ticketmaster - who own secondary ticketing sites Get Me In and Seatwave - as well as more general touts who managed to begin selling tickets yesterday - at an inflated price, naturally.

All this arrives on the same morning that Which? consumer rights group unveiled their jaw-dropping findings after an eight week study into secondary ticketing. Their findings include claims that these kinds of sites use botnet software to "harvest" tickets the second they go on sale.
Prince was apparently less than happy with what the report contained.

But there might be a silver lining to all this...
@Prince3EG how about more #hitandrun style gig announcements with little or no notice ?
