Diagrams discusses new album Chromatics in mini-doc, watch now exclusively on Best Fit
London's Sam Genders, of Tunng once upon a time but now flying under his own Diagrams banner, is gearing up to release his upcoming LP Chromatics, set for release 12 January on Full Time Hobby.
We are showing an exclusive clip of Genders explaining the intentions and how his life's changes have altered his process for the better. Relocating to Sheffield brought forth a burst of inspiration, for example. Speaking about the ablum's creation, Genders said:
“Relationships are a constant thread. In all their frustrating, exciting, mundane, beautiful, wonderful, sexy, scary glory, and there's lots of hope in the songs. They shouldn't be taken too literally mind you... in my head Chromatics is life in Technicolor; with all its ups and downs... being in a new place has brought something special to the process. Sheffield is a very open and direct place and I'd say the songs are more that way too.”
You can watch the in-depth look at the record's themes in the mini-doc below.
