Deerhunter unveil third single "Plains" from forthcoming record
Deerhunter have revealed "Plains", the third single lifted from their fast-approaching eighth album Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared?
"Plains" is inspired by James Dean, and revisits the last summer of Dean's life in 1955, where he was filming for Giant in Marfa, Texas.
The new single follows on from earlier releases "Element" and "Death In Midsummer".
Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared? is produced by Cate Le Bon, who also contributes harpsichord on "Element", and lends her vocals to "Tarnung".
Deerhunter's eighth album was recorded between multiple studios in LA, Texas and Atlanta, and features other guest instrumentals from Tim Presley, Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, Gnarles Barkley, Neon Indian) and Ian Horrocks.
