Death Cab For Cutie announce new EP with lead single "Kids in '99"
Death Cab For Cutie have shared details of their forthcoming project The Blue EP, as well as unveiling the lead offering "Kids in '99".
"Kids in '99" is the second out of five tracks to feature on Death Cab For Cutie's forthcoming The Blue EP.
It's their first single since teaming up with Chance The Rapper for his album track "Do You Remember" last week.
Speaking about the single, vocalist Ben Gibbard explains, "The Olympic Pipeline explosion in 1999 was a tragedy that really affected me while we were living in Bellingham. After all these years I felt it was worthy of its own folk song."
The Blue EP will follow on from Death Cab For Cutie's 2018 album Thank You For Today.
