Daughters of Reykjavík's Salka launches solo project neonme with new song "The Flower Phallus"
Salka Valsdóttir of Daughters of Reykjavík and CYBER has released new single "The Flower Phallus" as neonme.
After contributing vocals to Herdís Stefánsdóttir's Kónguló track "Be Human" earlier this month, Daughters of Reykjavík's Salka Valsdóttir has released her own single as neonme titled "The Flower Phallus", which is teamed with a Katrín Helga Andrésdóttir-directed video.
Valsdóttir said of the single, "I produced "The Flower Phallus" as a result of two things: My then girlfriend gave me a flower wand to cheer me up (I just started my period). I dreamt that I had a massive penis that had flowers growing out of it. Most of the percussion is made from recordings of the flowers I received as well as some recordings of bees and a vibrator."
