Dan Deacon shares new track "Learning To Relax"
Dan Deacon has lifted the lid on another new track from upcoming record Gliss Riffer called "Learning To Relax".
Described as "a live favorite that took shape while being performed on the road last year while supporting Arcade Fire", it sees Deacon chop up vocals, synth loops and trickling beats for a hypnotic, experimental 6:44 of noise. The video is equally trippy, and you might not wanna stare at it head-on for too long lest you get a headache.
The video's animator, Alan Resnick, explained the visuals:
“Two parallel columns of cubes are colored with complementary gradients. The cubes oscillate at faster and faster rates, which create the optical illusion of color mixing and elaborate visual patterns.”
Gliss Riffer is out 23 February on Domino.
