Courtney Barnett has covered INXS for a new Apple advert
Courtney Barnett has contributed a specially recorded cover of INXS' "Never Tear Me Apart", a track from their 1987 LP Kick, to a new Apple ad.
Although working hard on new album Tell Me How You Really Feel, Barnett's found time to whip up a stirring acoustic version of the INXS song for an Apple advert airing in support of marriage equality. A full version of the cover is currently avaialble in Australia, but an international release is TBA.
Barnett's new album follows up her recent collaborative LP with Kurt Vile, Lotta Sea Lice, as well as 2015 opus Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit. She's been sharing the odd tune in recent months for various clubs and compilations, including "How To Boil An Egg", "Pickles From The Jar", and "Three Packs A Day", but none of these feature on the record.
