Composer Nils Frahm shares five-track EP, Encores 1
The German musician and composer Nils Frahm revealed a new, five-track EP named Encores 1
While the dust has only just settled since Nils Frahm released the incredible All Melody album in January, he has now followed it up with a five-track EP.
Encores 1 is the first of many still to come, as the German composer's last album was compacted to 12 tracks, instead of stretched out over 60 songs that could've been included.
The composer described the new EP as "musical islands that compliment All Melody."
The new EP focuses on solo piano and harmonium, creating an acoustic collection that is undoubtedly beautiful.
Going into more detail on Encores, Frahm stated, "The idea behind Encores is one we had from before All Melody; to do three releases each with their own distinct musical style and theme, perhaps even as a triple album. But All Melody became larger than itself and took over any initial concepts.”
