Coldplay confirm they're not playing Glastonbury 2020
Coldplay's Chris Martin has confirmed that the band will not be performing at next year's Glastonbury Festival.
Chris Martin confirmed the news while speaking on Australian radio breakfast show, Nova 96.6 – Fitzy and Wippa.
According to NME, Martin told host Ryan "Fitzy" Fitzgerald, "We won’t be playing at Glastonbury 50 - although, I’ll probably be there because I love going - it’s like our home…but we won’t be playing."
The only confirmed act for next year's 50th anniversary of Glastonbury Festival is Diana Ross, who will perform the legends slot on the Sunday.
Speaking to MusicWeek about the gender split for next year's event, Emily Eavis said, "It’s important we go as close to 50-50 as we can. It’s as important to have females on the bill as much as men but the pool – certainly on the headliner front – is not as big."
Earlier this month Eavis revealed the Other Stage will host "Pyramid level headliners".
