Coachella organisers trying to reunite The Smiths
With the first leg of its inaugural S.S. Coachella just finished, and as they set sail for the second half in Jamaica, the organisers behind Coachella festival have revealed they try to book The Smiths “every year”.
The Cali festival told reporters that their dream headliners would include David Bowie, Iron Maiden, Talking Heads and a reunited The Smiths.
Founder Paul Tollett told SPIN that they “try every year” to convince Morrissey, Marr and co, having even offered $5 million in the past.
Alas, it seems unlikely, as the pair – yet again – have each reiterated that they will never get back together.
S.S. Coachella: Jamaica runs from 19 December – 23 December, with Pulp, Hot Chip and Yeasayer among the bill.
