Chaka Khan isn't a fan of Kanye West's "Through The Wire"
Chaka Khan gave Kanye West the green light to use her sample on "Through The Wire", but revealed that she found the song "insulting" and "stupid".
"Through The Wire" appeared on Kanye West's 2004 album The College Dropout, and featured a sample of Chaka Khan's "Through The Fire".
Speaking with Andy Cohen, Khan has revealed that although she gave Kanye West the green light to use the sample, she wasn't exactly happy with how it turned out.
Khan said, "I was pissed. It was a little insulting. No, it wasn’t insulting – I thought it was stupid. If I’d known he was going to do that, I’d have said, "Hell, no!""
The iconic singer did state that she has made money from Kanye's track, and said that the best reaction she could give to the rapper was "silence".
