Cautious Clay unveils new single "Puffer"
Cautious Clay has followed up the deluxe edition of his Deadpan Love album with a new single titled "Puffer".
"Puffer" is Cautious Clay's first new material since releasing the deluxe version of his 2021 album Deadpan Love in February, which featured four new songs.
Speaking about the new song, which is teamed with a video directed by Haoyan of America, Cautious Clay said, ""Puffer" is a track deeply personal to me. I found a metaphor that feels akin to our modern world: people often behave like pufferfish, in order to appear less vulnerable. In doing so this of course often has the opposite effect, in becoming more visible. And along the way we might lose track of our authenticity, by becoming larger than life."
