Cat Power has collaborated with Coldplay for a song featured on the soundtrack to a new Zach Braff movie.
“Wish I Was Here” was recorded especially for Braff’s film of the same name. “I reached out to Chan Marshall (a.k.a. Cat Power) and she and I met and really clicked,” he told NPR. “I set her up to watch the film in her apartment. The whole time she was watching she kept texting me all the different parts she was loving. She said yes the instant it was over.”
You can listen to the track right now over at NPR.
