Britney Spears reveals she's "just shot a movie" called The Idol
Britney Spears has revealed on Instagram that she's "just shot a movie" called The Idol, and fans reckon it might be The Weeknd's upcoming HBO series of the same name.
Earlier this week it was confirmed that The Weeknd's upcoming series The Idol had been picked up by HBO, and would star Troye Sivan and TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe alongside The Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, Anne Heche, Suzanna Son, Melanie Liburd, Steve Zissis, Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, and Nico Hiraga.
Although there was no announcement about Britney Spears appearing in the upcoming series, Spears revealed on Instagram last night (23 November) that she's "just shot a movie" with the same name, leading fans to think she might be talking about The Weeknd's new series, but it could also be a completely different project titled The Idol.
Spears added in her post, "it’s guaranteed to have hits and a lot bright pics to put in my beautiful family’s faces !!!!!"
